Akina Animal Health Accreditations

Accreditations

Our accreditation accomplishments exhibit our pursuit of excellence and an ongoing commitment to providing you with service and medications of the highest quality. We don’t simply profess a commitment to quality – we have been reviewed, evaluated, and granted accreditation by nationally recognized agencies that have established the highest standards in our industry.

Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board (PCAB)

PCAB LogoThe Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board, also known as PCAB, provides an independent, external validation process that determines whether or not a pharmacy meets nationally accepted quality assurance, quality control, and quality improvement standards.  PCAB accredited pharmacies, like Akina Animal Health, demonstrate that the highest of standards are met to assure quality.

PCAB certification is earned through an extensive on-site evaluation of compliance with PCAB's quality standards. This evaluation includes people, facilities, equipment, quality assurance systems and all standard operating procedures within the pharmacy.  As part of our accreditation, our sterile facility has been certified to meet the most demanding safety standards. Personnel, equipment, and the sterile facility is regularly tested to ensure all requirements for safety and sterility are exceeded.

Our PCAB certification means that you can trust our knowledgeable, expert, and professional staff to consistently produce the individualized medications your patients need.
